Mr. Brunelle obtained a BS in mathematics in 1970 and a MS in Public Health Biostatistics in 1974 with emphasis in mathematical and applied statistics from the University of Massachusetts.  After graduation, Mr. Brunelle was hired as a statistician at Eli Lilly and Company working primarily in the clinical area supporting registration and post-marketing clinical trials.   Mr. Brunelle has worked in many clinical areas including cardiovascular, central nervous system, dermatology, anti-emetic, arthritis, and endocrine.  He has helped design clinical plans, designed and analyzed data from many phase I, II and III studies and has interacted extensively with various global regulatory agencies. 

With over 28 years tenure at Lilly, Mr. Brunelle has also had the opportunity to work in non-clinical trial areas within the pharmaceutical industry including assay characterization, cosmetics, stability, bioavailability, and pre-clinical projects.  He has recently been active in research within the endocrine area, including diabetes, osteoporosis and product registration within Japan. Mr. Brunelle has taught various graduate level applied statistics courses at Butler University and Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was also a consultant for the Indiana Arts commission and for the Department of Gastroenterology at Indiana University School of Medicine, and served as the president of the Central Indiana chapter of the Americal Stastical Association.
